Almost fifty contractors, engineers, training agencies and economic developers gathered this morning from 7:30 to 9:30 am at Dudley’s for a Contractor’s Breakfast. Tom Jacobsen, Home Depot Manager, and Ken Hollis, Imperial County Community and Economic Development Director were discussing ways to bring contracting programs and incentives to the people who need to hear them. Tom presented Home Depot’s Contractor Program. This program includes onsite ordering, dedicated staff and same day delivery. Many items were raffled away; including a DeWalt Fat Boy saw compilation. Ken discussed programs offered by Imperial County, for instance the Home Rehabilitation and First-Time Home Buyer Programs, which need qualified local contractors. Tom and Ken are planning to hold these breakfasts quarterly to keep the community privy to what is going on in that sector.

If you would like to be included in the next breakfast contact Trisha Ferrand at 337-7814.
